Over the last few months I’ve known we were getting ready to make some adjustments in many areas here at The Ignition.
Over the next few months you will see some changes not only on our page but also at our weekly services. We are excited about our new facility and our Tuesday Night Services!
I’m also excited to announce that The Ignition now has 2 new interns! Casey Meena and Jose’ Mayorga will be joining our Staff!

God is called “IMMANUEL”, which means GODS WITH US. He comes close to us when we draw close to him (James 4:8)
By speaking one of His names, you invite Him to be that to you. If you are sick, run to your healer. If you are in need of something, run to your provider. If you’re afraid, run to your hiding place.
By speaking the things He is to you, your faith will grow and you will feel that you’re getting closer to God.

THERE IS GREAT POWER IN EACH OF GODS NAMES. AND WHEN YOU SPEAK THEM WITH FAITH AND UNDERSTANDING, YOU COME TO KNOW GOD BETTER.
The better you know Him, the more Blessed your life will be and you will have a more intimate relationship with God.

God is my healer (psalm 103:3)

YOU are able to affect your world in a powerful way! Your life and your world can be affected far more than you ever dreamed of, simply by praying about them every day.

A lot of us make an excuse like: “ I never have time in my day to pray” that excuse can make us miss hearing the voice of God speaking to our hearts and it can cause us to miss out on the adventure that God has for you.

Are we saying the right things?
Do I have to sound like a preacher and yell every second?
Are my words powerful enough?
Am I praying long enough”?

The truth is God is not looking for someone to pray who is perfect and who says the perfect “christianese” words in a perfect way. He is looking for someone who has a heart of love for him. He will never measure your prayers. He measures them by how important they are to you. He knows what is going on in your heart. What is important to you is important to him. People wonder, “why do I need to pray to God if he knows what is in my heart?”

God wants you to come, close, and depend on him. He wants to talk to you about the things that are important to him so they can be important to you. He wants to take you to places where you can never get to without him. He wants to do great things through you. Far too often we have the mindset of believing things about us that are not true and our situations. This can limit or even paralyze us to the point where we think there’s no way I can move forward, there’s no way out of my situation because it’s too big to handle.

God wants to lift you above difficult situations so you can see things from his perspective. He will calm the storms in your life when things get rough. The challenges you face will get transformed so you’re able to rise above them! But all these things don’t just happen. Not without prayer. Sometimes we feel powerless and he has a way that will empower you to rise above all those feelings. He wants you to see him for the ability and the power to do it. Every time we pray to God his power is released to work in whatever situation we are praying about. Our limitations, circumstances, cannot rise without Gods power. We don’t understand how powerful our prayers are and what can be accomplished when we pray! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

“The helper, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in my name, he will teach you all things” – John 14:26

God wants to have an intimate relationship with you! You can share your deepest feelings and the desires of your heart with God. Your heart will hear him guiding you on the path that he has for you! When you talk to God he begins to show you more and more who he made you to be and what he wants you to do. What we need is a power far greater than our selves. When you walk with God you are never standing still.

“What is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe? – 2 Timothy 3:5

• James 2:14:18 – You cant show them faith if you cant meet their needs.

Your adventure begins by making a difference in YOUR WORLD.
Not THE WORLD.

Where is your sphere of influence?
Who do you come in contact with everyday?

4 ways to make a difference in your world.

1. PRAY –  ask God to show you where you can make a difference?

John 4:35 -
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold , I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

2. FIND A NEED AND FILL IT

3. SACRIFICE – time, energy, money, pleasure, responsibility.

4. BE BOLD

ADVENTURE = an exciting or very unusual experience.
participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises:
the spirit of adventure. a bold, usually risky undertaking

The Christian life is supposed to be the greatest adventure of all time!
Have you settled for the adventures of the world and left Gods adventures to the history books?
Do you thirst for God given adventure?
Do you hunger for more than TV show faith?
Do you live for a cause worth dying for?

DL Moody – It is yet to be seen what God can do with a man who will yield himself completely to God.

One of God’s main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth.

He doesn’t make grown-ups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way He doesn’t have to take up His valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.

God’s second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn’t have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this. Because He hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in His ears, unless He has thought of a way to turn it off.

God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn’t go wasting His time by going over your Mom and Dad’s head asking for something they said you couldn’t have.

Atheists are people who don’t believe in God. I don’t think there are any in Chula Vista. At least there aren’t any who come to our church.

Jesus is God’s Son. He used to do all the hard work like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn’t want to learn about God. They finally got tired of Him preaching to them and they crucified Him. But He was good and kind, like His Father and He told His Father that they didn’t know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said O.K.

His Dad (God) appreciated everything that He had done and all His hard work on earth so He told Him He didn’t have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So He did. And now He helps His Dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones He can take care of Himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important.

You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they’ve got it worked out so that one of them is on duty all the time.

You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there’s anybody you want to make happy, it’s God. Don’t skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn’t come out at the beach until noon anyway.

If you don’t believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can’t go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He’s around you when you’re scared in the dark or when you can’t swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids.

But…you shouldn’t just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.

And…that’s why I believe in God.
