Philippines 08
For the past few years we have been taking team trips to the Island of Mindanao, and the city of Cagayan De Oro. We have partnered with World Missions Outreach Fellowship to reach this city for Christ. In March we took a small scouting team to begin preparation to return in June with a much larger team.
In June of 2008, we did just that. We invaded the city with the love of Jesus Christ through many different outreaches and events. We took 48 young people to help with this process. We took Aaron Crane and his band to host concerts and rallies. We fed the hungry children at the dump sites and other impoverished areas. We joined forces with other youth ministries in the city for times of worship and unity! We also had the opportunity to storm some of the local schools with mass crusades and saw tens of thousands of young people make commitment’s to Christ for the 1st time.
The following clips are just a preview of all that God did through us in June. We will be returning in December with another team to continue the work we started. We are igniting a movement and mobilizing a generation in the Philippine islands. Our prayer is that these videos will inspire you to do something great for God in the world around you!

i had fun singing and dancing for God yesterday…. God really works in mysterios ways, yesterday my friends and i were just going to the mall and hang out, we didnt expect that we were going there and praise God. i really wish you could go to our school in Oro christian grace school. it was fun to hear the songs about Jesus christ. Hi there!
Before the Youth event with the Ignition Band in the afternoon, I was so blessed with the message of Bishop Roberts. He preached in our church last Sunday and man, he was so fired up! Whew! As a youth leader, at the present, in our church, i was so encouraged by what he said and that I can really feel the God was speaking to me. I was refreshed of the truth that God has a perfect timing for everything!
In our church, there is this special emphasis on fathering the young people. As a youth, it is really good for me to be in a church like ours who looks after my spiritual growth. As a leader, i am thankful that the church invests a lot for the youth. I can see that our Senior Pastor’s has a compassion for the youth. Though resources run scarce at times but still, he looks for a way for youth events, like our Youth Jam, which we do every last Sunday of the month, to be possible.
My encouragement to the youth is that, let us not fail our leaders at the church and above all our God. God has invested so much for our welfare that He gave His precious son to die for our sins. It took Jesus’ life for us to be saved.
In the afternoon with the band, it was just so awesome for young people to gather in one place and worship the true and living God. The presence of God was definitely there! The physical appearance of the youth these days have changed. I even got my self pierced in the right ear. I’ve got 2 now. But the heart to worship has not changed. Let us walk our talk guys. Llet us not limit ourselves in the four corners of the church building but let us go out and shout Jesus’ fame in the world. He may be seen in our lives! Gbu!

it is just so sad that i havnt made any friends with the team. myB i was too shy to say hi or to smile at them. i was lyk at d doorstep of our church @ that tym wen the team arrived, i was ushering people in. i wore my old yellow pants and brown shirt that says i beat it all night long with a pic of a drum set in it.
i was in frnt taking fotos hoping that it would luk good, with all the lights and with the 10megapixel digital camera iv got. but man, only a few passed basing on the standards i could remmembr during my fotografy class back in uni . i saved the fotos, anyone in the team wanted to have a copy?
but my lil female cousins did make friends, they took photos with the gurls of the team.

hi it is me again, and i just love dropping by here. i commend the team for being fearless (you myt wana check out Building 429’s Fearless song; it is about two missionaries that are friends with the band, i think…). i am pretty sure that with all the violence (abduction by rebel groups) that you guys have heard that has happened and is happening in our country, maybe you have had doubts of coming here but thank God because He has not given us the spirit of fear but of a sound mind and peace in our hearts.
