Here’s a few pictures of Brian on his adventure in Mindanao.
This morning at 6 am, Brian Cote (one of our Ignition Staff) boarded a plane headed for the Philippine islands. We are so excited, to now have 2 of our staff living in the Philippines and continuing our work there.
Brian will be working with Jose Mayorga who has been living there for the past 2 months.
This is a dream come true for me as a student pastor – to see young men answering the call of God on their lives, no matter what the cost.
We are igniting a movement and mobilizing a generation in the Philippines!
Brian, our prayers are with you and Jose on your adventures with God. No regrets!
Over the last few weeks and months we have been praying and trusting God for a new place to meet on Tuesday nights. Last week our prayers were answered far above what we could have imagined. (Ephesians 3:20)

This week our team from West Coast Life Church will be returning to the Philippines to continue our work in the Island of Mindanao. A few of our Ignition Staff and students will be taking the good news to the islands.
Junior is one of the leaders that will be departing on this great journey. In the last year Junior has comitted his life to Christ and has been on a Journey with God ever since. He will be leaving with our team this Wednesday but he won’t be returning with them. Junior has comitted this whole summer to our work with our Ignition teams and leaders in Cagayan De Oro area for the next several months. We are stoked to have him represent The Igniton in the Philippines.
Please keep Junior in your prayers! He has never been overseas. We cant wait to hear all the great adventures he takes over the next several months.
When Dr. David Livingstone was working in Africa, a group of friends wrote him: “We would like to send other men to you. Have you found a good road into your area yet?” According to a member of his family, Dr. Livingstone sent this message in reply: “If you have men who will only come if they know there is a good road, I don’t want them. I want men who will come if there is no road at all.”
Are you waiting on someone to clear a road or make it easier before you commit to following God’s calling?
God is looking for trailblazers. Those who are willing to go where other men have never been!
For some reason I can’t put this book down. I have read it cover to cover twice already and still keep going back for more. Batterson is such a great communicator that his writing not only inspires me to do more for God, but also do be bolder in my faith!
In Wild Goose Chase, Batterson speaks of “One Way Missionaries” who packed all of their belongings inside of wooden coffins and purchased one way tickets to the mission field.
This kind of reckless faith stirs me so much to “go for it” in every area of my life. Batterson reminds readers to forcefully advance the cause of Christ. “Faithfulness is not holding the fort. Faithfulness is storming the gates of hell.”
Lately I have been spending more time online each week reading and listening to various blogs and podcasts.
I want hear what others are doing. I want to study how God is moving amongst other groups and congregations around the globe.
Recently a friend told me about Steven Furtick and his church, Elevation Church.
I dig what is happening at the this place. He’s a Pastor of one of the fastest growing churches in America. From 20 -5,000 in 3 years. Check out this recent article from his blog about being “A Voice.” – (reminds me of old Paradigm days.)
